On our short visit to Percé we were looking to have some quick lunch, being a touristy area there were many options for lunch but all seemed very expensive; we read the menu and decided it would be a good place for soup and sandwich. The soup didn't appeal to either of us so I took the "fondue parmesan" and my bf had the chicken burger. Well, first off we sat outside but weren't waited on, so we went inside after 10 mins. Our waitress was rude, kept repeating the same thing when I asked her to explain a menu item that I had never heard of before basically giving me the "duh you should know this". During my camping trip in Perce in 2020, I stumbled upon this restaurant that also had an ice cream shop on the left side. They offered mango sorbet and vanilla (almond milk base) ice cream. When I returned in August 2021, they had tofu self-serve ice cream. Despite being plant-based for 4 years, I was skeptical about how it would taste but decided to try it out of curiosity. They had three flavors - all berry: strawberry, raspberry, and a triple blend. It was absolutely delicious, rich, and creamy, making it the best non-dairy ice cream I've ever had. Entering Perce, the traffic narrows and congestion increases with the many tourist sites along the road. This restaurant is centrally located and within walking distance to many other businesses. There is ample parking in the gravel lot behind the stores. The cafe is bright, modern, and well-appointed. It is a pleasant place for lunch. With prices on the higher side, staff was prompt but not overly attentive - in this area, English only guests may be at a disadvantage. Our soup and sandwich were well prepared and tasty. No complaints from this table. I would recommend this cafe with confidence.
As we were staying in one of the Canadian Heritage of Quebec cottages at Mont Jolie directly adjacent to Perce Rock, we had a spectacular view of the ocean from our garden. We ordered the seafood pizza from Le Cafe Champetre and enjoyed it immensely. With large pieces of lobster and other seafood in a creamy sauce, I'd for sure order it again. Too bad they don't deliver out of province! Thank you!
We enjoyed this place very much. Nothing fancy here but it is a comfortable, casual and near cozy place with good food, good service, good music and good prices. It was a very pleasant change from the more upscale places we have had dinner in on our trip.They get old after a while and we really needed this place.
We were there during a busy summer evening. We had to wait a bit for a table, no issues.We shared a Cesar salad and pizza.Salad was good, except they used fake bacon bits, maybe it's to keep the vegetarians happy ??Pizza was good for a seafood restaurant.Would recommend and return when in town.
In the summer of 2023, the restaurant offers a selection of raspberry, strawberry, or mixed berries frozen tofu that tasted decent but were served in plastic cups. They also offer mango and raspberry sherbet options. This review has been updated from a previous review on July 24, 2023.
Perce as a whole is quite pet friendly with many restaurants with patios (and allowing dogs on the patio). The waitress at this particular restaurant was quite friendly, attentive, and even brought out a bowl of water for my dog. The food was good and reasonably priced.
