Since we live not far from Le Cloitre, we have dinner there several times a year. Whether we are having a more casual lunch on their beautiful patio or dinner inside the pretty restaurant, it is always a delight. The meals are innovative and beautifully presented. The restaurant and owners are not pretentious, but they serve wonderful food at very reasonable prices. The other night I had foie gras with a cherry sauce which was extraordinary. We feel very fortunate to have this restaurant so close by since it really is one of the best restaurants in the area.
Nous avons tellement de chance d'avoir ce petit bijou de restaurant à quelques pas de notre chalet. Mais si vous partez à la sortie 56 de l'A20, vous pouvez avoir un merveilleux menu du jour en trois services à moitié prix d'un repas d'autoroute. Le restaurant est situé au centre d'un village pittoresque et dispose d'une salle à manger décorée avec soin pour les jours froids. À l'extérieur, il y a un patio ombragé pour l'été. L'accueil est toujours chaleureux, la nourriture toujours variée et délicieuse. Comme je l'ai dit, nous sommes tellement chanceux.
Booked at 8pm for our evening meal. Excellent setting and selected the terrace for our meal. The owner was very friendly and attentive, service was excellent despite the fact that our main server was learning the ropes. Both starter and main course were well presented without being too fussy and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. We enjoyed the cheese course but unfortunately didnt have room for the desserts which also sounded great. We visit the Lot regularly and will have no hesitation in making return visits.
We hadn't been here before so we thought we were taking a bit of a chance as it was a special occasion. We weren't disappointed. A good menu, not the usual duck menu we're accustomed to in this area. The service was good, a little slow, but we were in no hurry. That said the food was well worth waiting for, especially the lamb which was delicious. A great find, we'll be back and so will our friends as the word has been spread.

What a delicious restaurant! The owner is so nice and friendly. She's always smiling. It feels good. I spent a very good time. Fresh products and perfectly cooked. The foie-gras home made is tasty. The Green Asparagus with duck ham and melted Reblochon is to die for. The Rognons of Veal are one of the best I ate in my whole life. The wine menu is complete and interesting. Now, I think it's a little over priced.
Camping nearby spent the morning out and about but in August many restaurants closed. Called in on the off chance and offered the Menu Oeuvre (workers menu) for 13.50euros including melon with local cured ham, pork steak with a delicious mushroom sauce followed by a light puffs story and peach dessert. Wine not included but very reasonable Pichet of Rose. Fantastic! The normal menu looked great as well
A delightful restaurant. The food is superb and well worth the price, whether you choose a la carte or plat du jour - which for €13.50 is excellent value. We are going back tomorrow!
La nourriture a été une vraie surprise : nous avions des anticipations pour quelque chose de bien mais c'était excellent. Vaut vraiment le détour.

Je me suis réveillé dans une belle matinée ici à Sarlat, rendue encore plus belle quand un petit cerf a sautillé autour des arbustes du jardin.
