Le Clos des Vignes

Given my preferred restaurant pick was not open, I went to Le Clos des Vignes with little enthusiasm. I was wrong to be apprehensive . The venue proved to be very good and tremendously popular with only tables free by on a Tuesday...night. The menu was limited although this is in my view was a positive. The foie gras entree, slow cooked beef and rhubarb cheese cake were the highlight dishes for my wife and I. At less than for courses per person and wine available by pitchers, the meal was excellent value. Images on line of the restaurant appear dated or the restaurant has benefited from a major refurbishment.

Malgré une atmosphère assez neutre, les plats sont originaux et très bons ! On se sent bien. Nous avons choisi un verre de vin, le bourdic hill sur la route de Deuzès, vin blanc et vin rouge... super, nous passerons au vignoble ! Les plats sont bien servis, bien présentés. Pour 2 personnes, avec entrée, plat et dessert, café et vins, pour environ 100€. En photo, carpaccio d'ananas... léger après un bon repas. Refaites-le !

We had a lovely dinner here while staying in Castillon du Gard. I was particularly impressed with the millefeuille of melon and tomatoes, paired with grilled shrimp and crispy mushrooms. It was at once refreshing and filling, sweet and savory. Super innovative! My husband had...a well-cooked taureau (local bull). The outside terrace is particularly lovely, though the backyard is nice as well.

Went here for lunch last week, whilst on holiday in Remoulins. There are about choices for each of the starter and mains but all of them were glorious. A real treat!! The wine was lovely and the staff were so welcoming! The cherry on...the cake was the location, a beautiful hill-top medieval village. I would definately recommend Réservez une table maintenant

J'étais dans ce restaurant lors du dernier jour avant le confinement et maintenant que nous avons émergé, la qualité du restaurant reste inchangée et la nourriture toujours superbe. Bons vins, un rapport qualité-prix exceptionnel. J'y suis allé deux fois en une semaine.

Que vous soyez en route sur l'autoroute ou en visite à la Tour Bridge, venez découvrir ce restaurant. Accueil chaleureux et repas délicieux. Prix correct. Paysage magnifique.

Very good meal, very helpful staff. We booked ahead to ensure a table. Weather was fantastic so we’re able to eat outside. Reasonable price, good house wines. Réservez une table maintenant

Not much to write home about. A good choice of menus, correct prices and service. The quality of the food is good but no positive surprises to mention.
