Le Vieux Castillon

The tasting menu was delicious and well presented. The surroundings of the restaurant are lovely. We started with the aperitif being served outside and the view on the Provence was simply breathtaking.Overall a bit pricey but this is what you can expect for Gourmet food. It is a great treat for a special occasion and I would definitely go back. Here is what we had:- starter: swordfish tartare with exotic fruit. This was to die for - main course 1: roasted see bass with limoncello risotto and zucchini with a foam of coral, scallops and safran- main course 2: Beef steak served with melting potatoes and a selection of glazed root vegetables - cheese board- dessert: chocolate tart and raspberries - café gourmand with macaroons

We have spent 3 nights in the hotel and the food has been great, good breakfast, lovely lunch- although could do with a less formal lunch menu for around the pool- that said we had 2 very nice antipasti lunches!The evening meal was very romantic in percent surroundings- probably the best bottle of wine we have ever tasted...A few guests moaned about price- this is an amazing hotel so what do you expect- you can't have this quality hotel with low food and drink prices!The staff reserved us a lovely table and the service was very good!Exactly what we expected for such a nice hotel- thank you for an amazing evening!

After booking a table for two. and being let down short notice, (hotel being full) I'm simply let down and upset, after looking forward since the weekend for trying this restaurant.Since working in 5* restaurants since being 15 I find it hard to comprehend why they don't have a pre booking system for guests?! Bad organisation. As a local I will make sure to go back to L'Amphitryon instead as this clearly only caters to the tourists

The award winning menu is of low standard with poor choice. There is little to choose from. The prices are ridiculous for what is average food. The limited choice means it is difficult to eat more than once whilst staying here. I have had better meals at fast food chains back in the uk. Disappointed and won't be returning

We had the tasting menu which was amazing. The food was fresh and every course was delicious and well presented. The waiters are a bit quirky but such an enjoyable experience.
