Comptoir Canaille in Geneva is a charming café, with a typical Parisian café atmosphere. Although space was limited, the welcome was pleasant and efficient. I was impressed with the extensive wine selection and the staff seemed knowledgeable about it. As for the dishes, the restaurant offers a typical selection of good French brasseries. I opted for a meat dish and my guest chose a fish dish. The meat was good quality and cooked to perfection, according to my guest's preferences. The portions were generous, which was nice. However, I was disappointed with the presentation of the dishes. The plates lacked color and seemed bland, which didn't really make you want to eat them. Regarding my fish...

We had the oeuf meurette as starter and steak and joux as mains. Food was tasty, but not great and considering the price tag, not a great value for money. The space is quite nice though and the owner clearly loves her space and food....There are good wine selections and the restaurant feels very cozy, in harmony with its canaille theme. Overall, interesting experience if you have never been to the french countryside , but it is hard to justify the price. Geneva has better french restaurant options.

What a very friendly little bistro, typically Parisian. We came to eat at midday, arriving before opening while the staff was still eating, we were greeted with a smile and invited to take a seat in a good mood. The dishes are excellent and, with the 50% discount via LaFourchette, the prices are attractive. The beef cheek is excellent, the sea bass fillet is cooked to perfection, in short, no false notes... We will come back with pleasure, we had a great time. Thanks to the whole team !

The interior of the store is quite quaint, and I like it. It's not a large store, so it may feel a little cramped. The food was simple, plentiful, and delicious. Although they can speak English, I feel like I would be able to understand the beauty of this restaurant even more if I could converse in French. Réservez une table maintenant

A great night with friends in the best place of Geneva. A great wine selection and a chef with a true talent to make your dinner deliciously unforgettable. Congrats to the new waiter. Well done! And thanks to the core team for their welcoming atmosphere

By booking with the Geneva plate. They try to negotiate the discount percentage for a Friday and weekend. By not following what is indicated in the book. Supposedly they were wrong about the book. Not at all commercial or correct.

Discovers the restaurant via a private-sales site for expats. I'm very happy with this discovery. It's a retro style bistro serving hearty french food. It ain't fancy, but it's excellent. Réservez une table maintenant
