my friends living in Menthon-Saint-Bernard had problems in pastness to get reservations, but at this occasion we have a last-minute spot. the lunch menu had a selection of 4 items in the starter area and the main course and the desert. for a starter and main course for a very reasonable price. I don't know how the man and woman team do it alone (and take care of 2 very well kept children), but everything was served timely with a big smile hot. 2 of us had healed ducks and lenses, followed by seabreads on chopped leaks. all delicious with minimal complication. I hope I'll come back someday.
We chose Le Confidentiel for lunch due to it's reviews and Bib Gourmand, and it lived up to the high expectation. A lovely, little restaurant with 6 or 7 tables, the atmosphere is friendly and warm, and everything ran very smoothly by the front of house/chef combo...of just two people. We went for the three courses for 33 Euro, and I had the gâteau de foie de volaille, lieu jeune with petis pois chorizo, and the citrus fruit dessert all were absolutely delicious! A thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours in a wonderful setting, and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
Restaurant vraiment cosy et intimiste au coeur du village de Menton géré par seulement 2 personnes. Le menu est vraiment original, même s'il conserve la tradition de la région mélangée à d'autres saveurs. Les portions sont suffisantes pour être pleinement rassasié en fin de repas. Avoir un serveur qui s'occupe de tout peut ralentir le service dans les moments de pointe, mais je ne vois pas cela comme un point négatif, plutôt comme une invitation à profiter du repas et de l'ambiance.
A lovely little, typical, French restaurant in sleepy Menthon St Bernard. Run by a husband and wife team service was impeccable, considering she is on her own to serve about 24 covers! Meanwhile her husband is busy in the kitchen cooking and washing. Every course...was served piping hot and timed very well. Have to say I thought 12 Euros for a Kir Royal was a little pricey, but was lovely nevertheless. Would definitely return for a special occasion. Réservez une table maintenant
this was our second visit to this fantastic little restaurant, and it is great that the wonderful experience was repeated three years ago. we had a three-course lunch on a Friday afternoon, no booking. eating was very cheap and top notch. an idiot staying on the tellers is just great. the staff was super friendly and the small room has a nice atmosphere. the perfect lunch place.
My wife and I regard Le Confidential as a ‘must-do’ whenever we visit Talloires on Lake Annecy. It’s amazing in every way, especially the warm hospitality Fanchon and her husband chef Sébastien offer to all their guests. Their restaurant epitomizes the true essence of fine...dining without the hype or high cost. Brilliant!
small restaurant with a small menu, but big on gastfreundschaft and taste. excellent eating and less expensive than other restaurants in the environment. would not hesitate to recommend. when they visit the Talloires area, they will not be disappointed, but will book beforehand.
