Our party of four had lunch here before visiting Hughenden Manor. The approach is rather off putting the last yards is an unmade road with large potholes and it looks like you have gone to wrong place. But keep going and there is...a decent car park at the end of it. The pub itself is a typical country pub. Very friendly and helpful staff. We sat outside under a shelter, which thankfully wasn't needed. The food arrived promptly: beef ale pie, lasagne, battered cod and lasagne, all accompanied by brilliant chunky chips cooked to perfection. Not a gastro menu, but exactly what we wanted. A carafe of coffee followed so much nicer than individual cups. A very pleasant way of spending an hour or...

always a good reception, large garden with plenty of table, some undercover. beautiful selection of beer, eating is always tasty, I usually order the chilli con carne, which is brilliant, spicy but not so hot it will blow off her head. good size. with acidic eyes. I think they're making a Vegi version. service well. a bit difficult to find and the road outside full of ruten and potty they have to drive around, but they have a parking space and their worth on the annoying.

Was looking for a dig friendly pub on a tripto High Wycombe and settled for this delightful pub which is a bit of the beaten track with to be warned equally beaten roads ! A warm welcome from friendly barmen and a decent selection of...competitively priced beers and a nice buzz for a Bank Holidsy Food wise from a nice menu plumped for the Welsh Rarebit and Fish and Chips which were generously portioned and tasted great All in all a great find and would happily recommend

Lovely pub, but I would have some signs near the village green providing directions to the pub as it's quite tucked away. I have been slightly put off by the state of the road. Went incredibly slowly and still manage to scrape the bottom of...the car. The pot holes are ridiculous. As a business owner I would seek to sort this out as it can be a put off.
