This was a last-minute decision since our first choice was closed. I checked Trip Advisor and there were excellent reviews for this unassuming restaurant so off the four of us went. It was sooooo good; sandwiches & soups were delicious and they had some gluten-free bread for me which was better than I can get in many, many more places that cost $$$ times more than it did here. The service is as good as their food - the staff was super-friendly and helpful, funny and cheerful, and we did not feel rushed even though we stayed there over an hour. Stopped in for breakfast on a rainy Saturday.The outside is deceiving but the inside is zen like right down to the bells.Coffee arrived quickly and was hot and fresh.I ordered the egg and cheese panini which was accompanied with a fresh fruit salad. The panini was fresh toasted golden brown and the fruit salad had a lovely flavor.I noticed muffins and soups on the chalkboard when paying my bill. The muffins are baked on site and they offer two of my favorite soups; wonton and hot and sour.The Den is a wonderful, local restaurant complete with an assortment of toys for children.I will be back!
Went to Le Den to meet some old friends from Pointe Claire who suggested it for lunch. Very unassuming both inside and out but the simple menu has great lunch fare and lots of specials. The proprietor is Chinese so he offered won-ton soup which was delicious and then we all had sandwiches for various types, all of which were served on their own home-made bread. The lattes were served beautifully and were very tasty as well. Great value for money so I will go back!
We are regulars at this little jem of a restaurant. There is always something perfect for everyone. The sandwiches on fresh bread are always delicious looking, the side salads are fresh and there is lots of variety. With great coffee and a variety of desserts, it's the perfect lunch spot. The staff are super friendly too!!

Pas chère et comme si on était à la maison. Choux de pain pour les sandwiches. Repas complet à moins de 10$. Service courtois et efficace. Seul le café expresso est ordinaire. Je considérerais une meilleure machine si j'étais le propriétaire. J'y retournerez assurément
Fresh, fresh, fresh! The owners are the nicest couple you could meet, the staff are terrific and the food is super fresh and delicious! For breakfast or lunch this is the place to go. Very casual, very tasty and a nice selection. Try the hot and sour soup!
Friendly spot for lunch and coffee. Homemade bread and muffins. Great soups and sandwiches. Nice side salads. Staff are very helpful and welcoming.
Small restaurant with home cooked meals for lunch with an assortment of different meals. Very friendly service.and good food. They close at 3 pm
