OK, I'll admit that Arras was busy on the night. The restaurant however was not, there were several spare tables, many inside and two outside where we wanted to be - it was a warm evening, Arras was 'en fete' and we wanted to be able to get a feel of the ambience. No one to greet us, but hey ho, asking at the bar we were sort of offered a shrug at a table outside. A nice small, intimate terasse with a good position. Eventually a waitress appeared and laid the table and brought the menus and wine list.It took almost thirty minutes for a different waiter to arrive for our order, at no point in-between was there any interest in dealing with us whatsoever despite repeated eye contact. We ordered the boudin noir and the duck, as well as drinks. The drinks arrived, but were incorrect. We ordered water, two beers and a Coca-Cola. The waiter who brought the drinks seemed incredulous that two beers had been ordered. Our neighbours on the next table were not surprised at his attitude, they had experienced similarly. The food arrived within a few minutes and was very pleasant indeed although my portion was rather small. I would expect a bit more if I was in Brive, the location that the venue claims to emulate. The salad was standard. The roasted root vegetables I was unable to identify: potato? parsnip? Anyway, it was oily, soft and cold.Once we had finished our meal we again waited and waited for the dessert menu but by the time we managed to gather yet another different waiter's attention we simply opted for the bill.To no avail. We had to go through the whole rigmarole three times with all three waiters. Eventually I gave up waiting for service, walked to the bar and paid. The manager seemed very perplexed that we wanted to leave. I told her that the service was too slow. She seemed unconcerned, a further indication that it was most definitely time to go.Plus point: Pleasant food. Not local. Negative points: Really poor service. My portion insufficient in size.

This restaurant serves great food from the south west of France: think duck dishes and andouillette (not for the faint-hearted but very tasty according to my boyf). I'd really recommend this restaurant

Ce petit restaurant situé sur la place derrière l'H^ptel de Ville propose des menus à prix très abordable. Lorsqu'il fait beau, la terrasse permet de déjeuner dehors.Le personnel est très sympatique
