Le Grand Cafe Fabrezan

Heading back from a morning at the tourist trap of Carcsasonne, we deviated from the sat nav to try and find a decent non-touristy restaurant for lunch. We stopped at this place because it looked popular, with most of the outside tables occupied. It was also on the main street with easy parking in the shade of a line of plane trees. This was exactly the place we were looking for. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent - they were proud of their Plat du Jour, and my wife confirmed it was excellent. The children were happy with chicken nuggets and frites (and they are connoisseurs of nuggets and chips). I had a baked camembert garlic bread. Simply delicious!In all, highly recommended for food, service, ease of parking. If you are looking for a proper French cafe, give this a try.
