Great night in Belves with a band playing in a bar a couple of doors down (which had over 100 people eating and dancing in the street) our friends booked us into Le Medieval. We had eaten here several years ago but that was under different owners. The food last night was excellent. The menu is limited which personally I like as its all home made. There was a choice of 4 main and 4 desert courses plus kids had a couple of options. Portions are large and well presented. Service was lovely and friendly from the chef and his wife. The toilets clean and so was the restaurant which is open plan. Our bill came to €26 each including mains, dessert, coffee, 2 bottles of wine and a few beers. A good night out and a return visit a must for us.
Tried this place on a rainy day as nowhere else open but had a nice lunch. Very limited menu of crepes and galette with a few specials. Very cramped or cosy depending on your view! Very friendly (despite them having no English and us limited French!)and reasonably priced. They were happy to prepare jambon et frites for my youngest despite it not being on menu and likewise crepes with sugar and lemon. I had a galette campagnande which consisted of potatoes, onions, lardons and creme fraiche which was very tasty. We had a pichet of rose too which was very good. Bill came to 55 euros for two adults and two kids, with wine, desserts and couple of coffees. Not bad! I would go back, good reliable food.
We have been to eat and drink here many times over the past couple of years on our holidays, perfect for families or couples, the owners are more than happy to accommodate anyone, nothing is too much trouble! The food is absolutely fantastic, best salads I have ever had personally! The wine is beautiful, we always but more to bring home to the uk with us. Just a really good atmosphere, friendly owners and amazing food and wine Will always return here without a doubt!
I have visited this restaurant on many occasions when in Belves. The hosts are the friendliest I have come across here. The food is always excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Definitely the best restaurant in Belves and very reasonable prices. Will always come back!
