Le Montagnard - Réserver une table

I was told the chef is only 26 years old after we finished our dinner. What a great talent this young chef has. Presentation, flavor, ingredients, and let me be direct about this restaurant....DON'T miss it. This small, cozy, and quaint bit of french heaven is a must visit. Every ingredient is masterfully blended in each dish and presented as a work of art that begs to be admired and then savored. The starter on the menu called "The perfect egg" seemed unusual for dinner, but I must admit it was Perfect. The cod fillet entree was melt in your mouth and mild, but the flavor so well suited for the dish. Even the fresh breads served with the meal complimented the courses. Deserts are a must have, although I was only slightly disappointed that the creme fresh choices were not made in house, but all the other deserts were made on the premises. This place is small so make a reservation. The service is excellent and a very nice wine list. DO NOT MISS this gastronomic slice of heaven.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Saint Martin, and we had a fantastic dinner this week. The service was very good and the food excellent. The only complaint we had was they they do not offer raclette anymore. A Savoyard restaurant should serve raclette and all traditional dishes, but alas not Le Montagnard. The fondue was very good and the entrecôte as well. My only other complaint is that when some of us ordered fondue, we also ordres a salad, but then a salad came with the fondue. They could have told the salad was included!Anyway, we like the restaurant and recommend it, but they need to focus on some details to make the experience better.

This is our second visit to Le Montagnard and once again we had a delightful meal and evening. The staff are friendly and the food delicious. My husband had a beautifully cooked Beef in Filet, Fingergling Potatoes & Glazed Vegetables, I had the Plat du jour of Lamb 3 Ways with Artichoke Puree which was simply divine and the kids had a Tartiflette EACH which was simply too much, but too yummy to stop eating!Obviously, we had to have a pudding and the Rice Pudding of our Childhood, Homemade Blueberry Jam did not disappoint.We highly recommend a meal at this wonderful restaurant.

We had a fabulous dinner here on the recommendation of a friend - and it didn't disappoint! A very charming, traditional dining room with an excellent menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented - a real find!

fantastic restaurant with so much character. a short walk from the end of the site so you need to know where you are going, but so much better than the obvious sun traps at the end of the run.
