This is a charming lunch place, I like to sit on the front terrace. I was in Le Pain a few times and loved both meals. The organic lentil and avocado salad is my favorite; the vegetables and the arugula are fresh and the lenses add a cordiality that felt satisfied. I also like the open-faced Bio Black Bean and Hummus Sandwich. The avocado, tahini and paprika mixed well and since it is open, I didn't feel like I was filling on bread. P.S. For diet savy people who they have the number of calories next to each menu item.
I had thought this place was closed for good, as they had locked their doors a few months ago. However, I discovered it was just a change in design and cost-saving measures, not bankruptcy. That's great news because they still offer a small but thoughtful selection of vegan items. You can enjoy dishes like gazpacho, warm corn tortillas, vegan frittata, avocado toast, chia seed pudding, and more. The outdoor seating is nice, and it’s not too crowded.
I thought this place was out of operation! A few months ago they closed their doors. As it turned out, cost savings and a design change, instead of bankruptcy. What is good, because they always have a small but thoughtful collection of vegan articles. Gazpacho, warm grain shell, vegan Frittata, avo Toast, Chia seeds pudding, and etc. Pleasant outdoor seating. Not too full.
Pastries service was excellent. But the open faced turkey, bacon avocado sandwich was rather dry and lackluster. There was a sauce, but not enough to make it flavorful. A little mayo on the side would help, but they didn't have any. The green tea andlemonade were exceptional.

Awesome bakery, pastries are so good. This is a MUST if you're near Manhattan Beach. We tried different croissants and cookies. All were amazingly delicious. Recommend for any pastries lovers. It's better to be there early, so you could find all the kinds.
It is part of the Metlox Plaza. Seating is decent; outdoors. It is next to the Shade Hotel. The bakery has pastry and bread. The whole wheat sourdough can be pricey. A quarter loaf of bread rings you up at about five dollars; as of May 2021
The availability of oat and soy milk is a great plus, and the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. It's a lovely place to visit.
Food and coffee were just ok. The breakfast sandwich was underwhelming. Perhaps this was just an off day at this location.

Look no further for some excellent and rich tasting chocolate baked goods. Would absolutely recommend.
