Le Pauly - Réserver une table

Nous avons dîné au Pauly lors de notre dernière nuit en France. Nous nous sommes assis rapidement et avons rapidement demandé notre commande de boissons. La serveuse était plutôt pointilleuse sur l'ordre dans lequel elle prenait nos plats : menus d'abord, puis entrées puis plats principaux. Elle s'est un peu exaspérée contre moi lorsque j'ai commandé les entrées adultes avant les menus enfants. La nourriture est arrivée rapidement, nos entrées arrivant avec les plats principaux des enfants. Bien que les salades soient dans la section entrée, elles sont énormes et pourraient facilement être consommées en plat principal ! I do not think that I have ever had worse service than at this place and believe me I have travelled and eaten out a lot.The irony is that we returned for dinner after having had a good lunch a few days before.The service was simply terrible and the food not a lot better.We were a party of 10 seating at three separate tables party because they would not agree to push them together.We should have got up and walked off as many others were doing when we had waited over an hour for our starters. Nous nous sommes arrêtés ici pour déjeuner deux fois au cours de notre semaine de vacances à proximité de la Gorce. Tous les membres de notre groupe ont apprécié la nourriture. Notamment la salade de gésiers de canard. Cela n'a pas l'air sympa mais c'était délicieux et ça valait le coup d'essayer ! Ils proposent un menu à la carte, puis 2 menus à prix fixe. Nous avions tous beaucoup de choix et avons apprécié nos déjeuners tranquilles, notre bonne nourriture, notre bonne bière et notre bon vin. Le personnel était sympathique et patient avec notre français très approximatif, mais nous a aidé à nous apprendre de nouveaux mots lorsque nous n'étions pas sûrs. We turned up on a Saturday night around 19:30 without a reservation and got a table outside no problem at the end of August. The waitress gave us a very good wine recommendation, and the staff in general were polite and friendly. Our youngest had the burger from the kids' menu and loved it, our eldest had the Classic Burger and also loved it. We had the beef skewers, and the cod. Both meals were nice, but not spectacular. Desserts - creme brulee, fondant au chocolat, and ice cream. They were fine.Once it started to get busier we waited a while for our plates to be cleared, but to be fair it looked like one waiter was doing everything on his own. A quiet weekday in August (yes, they do occur) and we decided to try this typical bar / restaurant for a late lunch. We must have passed it by on dozens of occasions over the years whilst trying to navigate the tricky, blind junction when driving down from Domme. The sun shone, the service was about right, the wine was fine and the food just right. Round matters off with a cheerful and friendly local clientele and the whole experience was good. The bill was modest and we will return. What's not to like?

La nourriture ici : moyenne. Cependant, ma fille, âgée de huit ans, a remarqué l'extrême impolitesse de notre serveur qui était impatient et n'a pas facilité son choix, malgré nos efforts en français raisonnable (elle voulait savoir si elle pouvait avoir une salade avec son menu enfant). Nous nous sommes sentis très pressés de prendre une décision et avons eu l'impression d'être un problème. Si vous souhaitez avoir un repas délicieux avec un excellent service sympathique, marchez jusqu'à La Traverse.

Nous avons mangé ici pendant nos vacances à Domme. Le personnel était sympathique et parlait un anglais fantastique. La nourriture était de haute qualité et d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix. De plus, très adapté aux enfants.

Popped in as few places open. Glad we did. Only had a simple meal but one of best we have had. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Wine was good and not expensive. Food cooked perfectly and service was good. Definitely will return.

Nous avons visité ce restaurant pendant nos vacances et avons vraiment apprécié notre repas ! Le personnel était patient avec notre mauvais français et nous a vraiment fait sentir les bienvenus.

We stopped off to visit the local towns and we had a fabulous lunch. The owner made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed our lunch with a full glass of wine. Just perfect.
