After a morning in the Colorado Provençal, we drove to Sault and stopped for lunch at "Le Provençal" based on Trip Advisor reviews. What a great idea!Fantastic staff, friendly and welcoming, including the chef who came twice to a) let our daughter try the "petit epeautre" (some type of wheat) before she ordered and b) make sure we were happy with everything and chatted with us for a few minutes.Food is made from local fresh produce, simple but tasty. Everything we had was good!Their menu is starter + main dish + cheese + dessert at a price more than reasonnable (17,50 EUR). Even wine is reasonnably priced.Overall, highly recommended. A big thumbs up!
I love coming to France and finding extraordinary restaurants and this is one of them. Fantastic food from a selection of fixed price menus. The nice thing is that they don't charge extra for a few bottles of water or bread so the price of the food is the price you pay other than for alcohol. In addition to this, the waitresses are delightful and efficient. It is impossible to find places like this in many other countries but that is OK, I will just have to keep coming back to France. 5 stars.
Nous sommes retournés au Provencal après y être allés l'année dernière, cette fois-ci avec nos trois enfants adultes. Nous avons tous trouvé quelque chose que nous aimions sur le menu à 22 euros et la sélection de vins est vaste (beaucoup de vins locaux). La nourriture et le service sont excellents, nous avons hâte de revenir.
The 20 € menu can be recommended! The Cervelles d'Agneau were delicious. As were the calf kidneys and the lapin rôti. Perfectly prepared and served. The wine list leaves nothing out. J'espère que la nourriture est bonne mais pour l'instant le service est insatisfaisant. Nous attendons depuis 20 minutes pour une commande de nourriture. Personne ne vient pour prendre notre commande, nous sommes sur le point de partir.
J'ai pris deux pizzas à emporter d'ici. Pas super impressionné par la croûte (qui, pour une pizza à pâte fine de style italien, est l'un des éléments les plus importants).
Stopped here in sault en route to Nice. Best meal we've had, super service. Do a bespoke cyclists menu and good fixed price menu.
On some thing you can be brief. Go Here. Have the 22€ menu Enjoy. Simple and delicious as the Frenche kitchen is intended to be.

Good appetizer, especially melon and ham. Their lavender ice cream is unforgettable! Good service and wine selection.
