This hidden gem deep in the countryside, is a bit of a trek to find, but well worth the drive. No menu just what is offered for the day, but the food was delicious- each course. This is not fine dining but honest home cuisine by a man who truly understands food. We had a party of 7 ranging from 10 to 70 years old, and everyone wants to go again next year- or in our case next week, with the new visitors! Casual atmosphere on a picturesque terrace, this is a great place for all the family
We were here for a Father's Day lunch on the recommendation of my parents and were not disappointed. The service is attentive but very friendly. The wine is good and there's a nice selection of aperitifs too. The food is well-paced and portioned and cooked perfectly. The prawns were excellent and the steak simply sublime with a very well-balanced sauce to match. Desert was a well-executed trio that didn't overfill but rounded off the meal perfectly. Looking forward to a revisit asap.
We have just stayed for three autumnal days and nights at this delightful rural retreat in the lovely countryside around Nojals et Clotte. We were actually attending a family funeral .The owners were very hospitable and we enjoyed evening meals here on two occasions which as other reviewers have said were the 'meal of the day ': fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. It is out of the way but that is what makes Le Saint Cochon so attractive and special
Nous avons séjourné quelques nuits au Saint Cochon et avons eu la chance de goûter au plat spécial du chef à plusieurs reprises. En un mot, excellent : le steak était de première classe tout comme l'anguille de mer. Notre préféré était le foie gras avec des œufs. De grands vins. Et tout cela dans un cadre très confortable avec des hôtes très sympathiques. Réservez une table maintenant
Nous étions dans la région pour une semaine de vacances et avons mangé ici deux fois car nous avons tellement apprécié. Un menu petit mais varié, d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix avec des plats délicieux de la région. Un cadre magnifique pour un restaurant avec des sièges en plein air parmi une architecture traditionnelle et des vues sur la campagne.
Lieu fantastique, magnifiquement situé. Les propriétaires/personnels sont très accueillants et décontractés. La nourriture est absolument excellente et très abordable. Nous sommes restés 5 nuits, de grandes chambres avec salle de bains. Nous serons de retour. Merci Pascal, Ruddi et Diego. Woof woof Sir Bentley et Mr Dupont. /Claire Boberg
