I only ever review if a meal was spectacular or dreadful because I believe every restaurant can have an off day but this place falls into the latter. We initially spent around 40€ in drinks because we realised we would have to wait an hour before the food service and wished to save our table the young lady who served us was friendly and helpful and was finishing her shift. Therefore we had our order taken at 7.10pm by new unfriendly staff and was 3rd in the queue. The restaurant quickly filled up to maximum capacity within minutes of being 7pm. What caught our eye was that every table inside and out had their orders taken and all their food had been served but we still hadn't seen our food. We asked about our food at 7.55pm. The food arrived at 8.00pm and looked like it had been standing for awhile. The food we ordered was quick to prepare so nothing arduous. My further complaint was that my main course 16€ langoustines consisted of 4 fridge cold langoustines with a quarter tomatoe and some lettuce and a pot of mayo. We spoke friendly and in French, to show that we are making an effort. The older lady inside who we presume was the owner was friendly. We're not prone to paranoia but we really felt it was purely because we were British because we can't for the life of us think why else we were treated so badly. The staff were friendly to other french customers and food came promptly. We even had to ask for the bill three times too. We had two small well behaved children with us and to treat them this way was appalling to us. Adults is one thing but children shouldn't be involved.

My husband and I have eaten at this fabulous seafood restaurant several times as we love the freshness and variety of their meals. I would recommend the Ficelle Picarde as a starter, a savoury pancake stuffed with cheese, mushroom and ham, as well as any of their wonderful fish dishes. My husband always has a pot of Mussels, which are cooked in a variety of sauces, and he loves the Roquefort sauce in particular. They also offer huge seafood platters brimming with all kinds of shellfish like oysters, crab and lobster: they look very impressive and they are very popular with the French, although I am not sure the two of us could manage to get through it!The menus of the day are very good value, as they include starter, main course and dessert starting at ₤15. The service is friendly and efficient and English is spoken.

We ate here once during our stay in Le Crotoy - they have a great selection of moules at good prices, however my wife decided to try the Coquilles Saint Jacques a la Meuniere....mistake - they were overcooked and very plain (at over 20Euros the dish we would have expected something far better)

Stopped off here for lunch when visiting the town as it seemed very busy so it must be popular. We had the standard mussels dish marniere and it was lovely, nice bottle of wine some bread and fries 22 euro
