We were recommended to this restaurant by an excellent French wine merchant based nearby. It did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful. All the other diners appeared to be French which I regard as a good vote of local confidence. Our waitress confidently recommended some very nice red and white wines for our party and was knowledgeable about the various choices on the menu which gave a good small range of food with three different price points for the fixed menus and an a la carte menu.. After an excellent lunch during a visit in July, we decided to return for dinner and bed.We checked in,thene went down to the L shaped dining room where we were welcomed again by the delightful Sandra She explained that this week was when the chefs had a chance to show off their talents.My wife chose a crumble of courgettes,shallots lardons with local cheese while I enjoyed the herrings with potatoes.The main we both chose was a rolled stuffed leg of chicken with vegetables. Je suis allé dans ce super endroit appelé Le Saint Sébastien à Blendecques, ils ont accueilli 50 personnes sans sourciller. Une seule serveuse, avec sans aucun doute beaucoup d'aide derrière les portes, nous servant impeccablement. La nourriture était délicieuse, copieuse, servie chaude, les boissons coulaient à flots. Une super expérience, j'aurais aimé que tous les restaurants soient aussi parfaits. Nous avons été tellement impressionnés par le service que nous avons fait un tour supplémentaire pour la serveuse.
Went to this great place called Le Saint Sébastien in Blendecques, they catered for 50 of us without batting an eyelid. Only one waitress, with no doubt plenty of help behind doors, serving us faultlessly. The food was amazing, plentiful, served hot, drinks was flowing. A great experience, I wish all restaurants were so perfect.We were so impressed with the service that we did an extra whip around for the waitress.
