Le Suroit - Réserver une table

Wished when the chap who answered the phone was offhand and snooty we hadn't made a reservation but stupidly we continued.On arriving given a "look" and asked if we had a reservation, we said yes, then shown to a table right next to the toilet!It went downhill from then on. The menu was limited and overpriced for what it was. We eat out a lot in France and this meal was not good. The starter was just about OK but the main courses were disappointing. One of had the menu, the others dined a la carte. The fish dish on the menu came with a few boiled potatoes however the a la carte fish dishes had nothing else with them. 2 people had to ask for something besides just fish. The waiter did bring enough boiled potatoes for one! The other person just had the bread which was not replaced (as is normal) when the small bowl of it was empty. This restaurant has to be avoided.

We (2) had dinner one Thursday evening. The restaurant was full with a large group celebrating perhaps a birthday. We both had a salad as a starter and lamb for the main course. The salad was huge and had everything in it from prawns to artichoke. It was almost too much or a starter. The lamb, three different cuts, was beautifully cooked. Service, despite the restaurant being full and the large party, was friendly and efficient. We look forward to returning one day.

Went there last night for my birthday, the food is excellent, the service 'impeccable'. This was my second visit this year, I recommend the €40 menu with a seafood plate as a starter (3 prawns, 3 oysters, 3 langoustines, some clams, winkles and bulot, crab claw)As a main I had the filet steak (rare) with sauce bearnaise and petit legumes, just amazing.This restaurant is as good or better than some Michelin star I have visited before!Bon appetit

Fantastic sea food, yet service could be so improved In front of the harbour, location is convenient and parking is accross the road Be patient and you will have a nice lunch

Were there for lunch when passing by on a bike excursion.Excellent food with a 3 course menu for 20 Eur.Service attentive but welcome could be more personal.
