We came here 6 weeks into our summer holiday in Europe hoping to get an Indian meal similar to what we get in GB, so we were slightly disappointed that it didn't quite make the mark. After our initial not very crispy poppadoms with the usual chutneys, we shared a starter of typical Indian dishes like Samosas, Onion Bhajis and Prawn Puri, which was rather nice. As a curry eater all over the world from Hongkong to Bradford, from Melbourne to New York, I would have to put this restaurant at the bottom of the list for food. The quality of the meats and veg were good, as you would expect in France, but the curries were raw spices and flavourless, mostly salt, and no heat at all in the so called HOT dish I ordered for myself, she who must be obeyed also claimed tastelessness in her mild dishes. Food good. Very tasty not a 'Patak special', but a 'proper Indian curry Ricky'. If you want it hotter, ask for a little extra as the food is softer compared to UK but, I had the Madras and found it superb. The restaurant generally is clean, well laid out and bright, but not too so. Service is friendly, and 'not in your face'; there was no rush to get you fed and out through the door. Overall, a tasty and enjoyable experience.

Good restaurants last. This Indian restaurant has been going 30 years. The food is superb and the staff are excellent. I'd have given it 5 stars but the restaurant either needs to move to a bigger site or cut back on the seats. Given all seats are usually full, it says a bit about the food.
