Le Tracteur has been in business for a long time now and continues to offer a straight forward formula of a small number of menu options of well executed traditional French dishes sometimes with a modern twist at a good price. I enjoyed rognons de veau as a starter cooked in a traditional manner with the twist being an addition of almonds on the top which I am not sure worked but was not a significant negative. I followed with a really proper joue de boeuf in red wine which was really full of flavour and excellent. Nous sortions d'Uzès et avons croisé le tracteur au cas où il serait ouvert. Ils ont des heures d'ouverture limitées donc on ne sait jamais. Ils l’étaient et nous avons pris un autre excellent repas là-bas, même si c’était la première fois que j’essayais de déjeuner. Même format, 3 entrées et desserts et plat principal poisson ou viande. Nous avons choisi trois entrées et les avons divisées comme des tapas. Sardines, maquereaux et asperges, chacun à leur manière merveilleusement inventive, avec les ingrédients les plus frais. Cela reste de loin le meilleur restaurant de la région. Le verre de vin, le dessert et le café coûtaient moins de 50 €. De plus, la cour s'améliore chaque année

I've come to this restaurant many, many times during my yearly visit of the Uzes area. I have not been disappointed once, excellent food every time, friendly staff, great atmosphere inside or outside. But the food really is the highlight. It's fresh, seasonal, tasty, generously served... simply perfect. And from someone which comes from Switzerland the prices are just amazing. Never would you get this amount of quality in your plate for even double the price in Switzerland.I've been here many times before and I'm always looking forward to coming back when I'm in the area. Best restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of eating in.

In its old setting a couple of years ago you were served outstanding simple food, fine organic wines in a cute setting.The setting is not as nice but the food and wines are worth the trip all by themselves.A menu with 2 appetizers, 2,main courses and 2 or three deserts or cheese.The selection changes almost every day depending upon what the chef finds that day. Food is fresh, well cooked and served graciously by the wife of the chef and some help.The owners are big experts in wine and not only do they choose good products, but they can also describe and explain them to you.A place not to miss if you are in the area. If you're visiting Uzès, Pont du Gard or anywhere in between, then Le Tracteur is a wonderful spot to stop in for lunch. Ridiculously busy in the summer, it is pleasantly full even in the winter. That says a lot about a restaurant. The menu is small, but well formed, and changes regularly, making it a regular haunt for locals as well.The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, the staff friendly and the food is always excellent. It is situated half way between Uzès and Pont du Gard, on the D38.

I've had a lot of great food in France, but this place was clearly the highlight. The menu was small, but seasonal. Everything was made to perfection. We were a party of eight, so we fortunately had a chance to taste even the things we didn't order for ourselves. Portions were exactly right. Service was good. Atmosphere was extremely pleasant- we ate outdoors, but the inside was really nice too. I look forward to returning to this area of France, and I'll certainly be stopping here!

We've eaten everywhere in the area over many months of staying in or near Uzes these past few years and the most consistently excellent restaurant experience is at Le Tracteur. The ambiance, inside or outside, is special, the service efficient and friendly and the food is always exceptional.We conclude every visit to Le Tracteur with the statement 'We don't want this to end....'.

c'était toujours un de mes restaurants préférés dans le passé. après le confinement de 2020, le restaurant a rouvert ses portes et il n'est pas déçu. la terrasse a été rafraîchie et leur permet de mieux se protéger du chaud soleil d'été. manger est toujours incroyablement bon et... vaut plus. excellent. This restaurant may have a superb reputation but the telephone manner of the staff and their face to face dealings with us were not great. We cancelled our booking and went to L'Estanquet instead; which was marvelous

Quite simply one of my favourite restaurants in the world. The atmosphere is great, the food will leave you breathless. Cherry on the cake: a great choice of exceptional natural wines from the region.
