Le Vesuve - Réserver une table

this was our third visit to this restaurant, and we were always satisfied with the food and service, but this last visit was not good. ok, it was a busy Friday night (not always behaves, but we were asked to wait 5 minutes. for the table to delete, and then another hour to get our pizza and bruscheta. we were not the only ones who looked around to see who was served a cook, and a server was clearly not enough. as far as the pizza was concerned, it was in order, a little moderately garnished, and the bruscheta lacked the advertised fresh herbs with the salate. we have not dessert and no coffee. the service was neutral, certainly not welcome.

service horrific mauvais : 45’ pour prendre une commande et 2h15’ pour être servis (salade) et la troisième personne n’a jamais été servie pour une pizza ! la direction a ignoré la situation dans la salle et n’a pas pris la peine de venir voir. très décevant et agaçant! la direction est lamentable! on Saturday, December 14th, we met a bad service in the restaurant and certainly from the kitchen. we wanted to talk to the manager. we had a bad time waiting so long 2 hours and 15’ to serve (saladen) and the third person had never his meal (pizza) . the manager ignored us and the situation in the restaurant. we are angry and frustrated.

Coming back from a demanding surfing vacation my gf and I stopped at Chateaudun for an overnight stay. Following trip advisors advice we chose Le Vesuve as our restaurant for dinner. The place was absolutely perfect. For starters we ate an italian salad and as...main dish we had the forestian pasta and the pizza napolitana. Every dish was well prepared and very tasteful. Together with the ambience and some wine we really had a good experience. Unfortunately we were terribly exhausted from our trip or else we would've stayed and dined much longer. The next time I'm back in Châteaudun I will definitely eat at Le Vesuve.

at a night stop in chateaudun we desperately wanted to find a restaurant on Thursday night....kebab anyone? we noticed a board showing on a side street, and behold, we found vesuve. immediate friendly welcome by the latest young worker. we discovered this later, who let us choose our own table in a stylish, clean restaurant. a patchy rumpsteak with delicious bearnaise sauce and seafood pizza with a karaffe merlot did not break the bank. the chef cooks with nothing to hide! this place deserves to be busy every night. tres bien!

this restaurant we visited twice during our time in chateaudun. excellent pizzas and very cheap wine. very friendly and attentive service. couple options for vegetarier. would recommend.
