We all know mother's day is hectic for most cafe's and restaurants. And we all know we might have to wait a bit longer than usual. However, there's surely a limit and I'm pretty sure we reached it on Sunday.We arrived at around 10.30am and there were a couple of tables free. After only a short wait, we ordered drinks (coffee, tea, juice) which arrive surprisingly quickly. We then ordered the food (eggs etc) and things went rapidly (or nor so rapidly) down hill. After 40 minutes we asked how long it might be?...the waiter said he'd check but didn't come back. Popped in here for coffee about 12.30pm on a Sunday - it wasn't packed but reasonably busy. Table was cleaned but dirty and had to ask for service, At least 4 floor staff but they just seemed to be going around in circles. Tables have no numbers. Note here to owners - get table numbers, and you won't have to give the poor waiter a dressing down in front of customers for putting the wrong table number on the order. As well as that it will be much easier when customers go to the counter to pay, to simply give your table number.Coffee was good and was hot, but please organise the place!
The place wasn't very busy when we walked in. A waiter told us to be seated and he would be with us in a minute. About 10 minutes later and after catching his eye a few times we decided to order at the counter. The food was delicious however I found the coffee a bit too bitter. I noticed there were more staff from 10am and service picked up. I do agree that table numbers are needed as it would make matching food to their orders easier. The Village itself is beautiful. Worth a visit.
This is a lovely little cafe tucked away in the small shopping area in Hunters Hill. Great for a light breakfast with freshly baked pastries and great strong coffee. With both indoor and outside seating our only issue is that the service needs to be slightly more attentive.

So impressed by the high quality of art included here , and by the way the community embraced the event . Le Village always has delicious French treats , and the pop up indigenous art from Honey Ant gallery was terrific . A great little spot for French fare and good coffee
We had lunch and although the cafe has a very pleasant outdoor area the food was pretty poor. The steak sandwich was only a thin slice of beef with lettuce and dressing with the bread toasted dry and hard. The quiche was boring. I would not recommend on our experience.

We had booked for a family celebratory gathering and as we were in transit to the restaurant, they cancelled the booking on us because they had no other customers and wanted to go home. We were shocked, particularly bearing in mind we went there often.

We often walk down from our home to have breakfast and coffee with friends. We are never disappointed with the food!
