L'Embargo - Réserver une table

Great spot, recommended by our hotel who booked us a table. Service was great. We can struggle through in French but the staff switched to excellent English making it easy for a quick meal with hungry children. Lots of choices for pizza, pasta, steak was...on offer along with good looking salads. We had veal parmigiana which was actually quite good. Kids had pizzas which were huge even though they were children size. Price was good, and I expect we will be back when passing through next time. Only slight downside was that it was excessively hot inside and kitchen smells not extracted well enough meaning our clothes have an oily smell which is a nuisance when travelling.

We ate at this restaurant as it was close to our bed and breakfast accommodation on a stop over whilst travelling south. When we got there it was pretty crowded (which we took as a good sign), and we got the last table for two...in the main restaurant. There was only one waitress, so we had a bit of a wait before she took our order, but was most apologetic when she did get round to us. My wife had a pasta dish, which was nice but quite large and rich, and she couldn't manage it all. I had the homemade lasagne, which was also large but was utterly delicious, so I kept going until it was finished! For reasonably priced pizza/pasta, I don't think you'd get much better.

We tried tl'embargo because my dining partner wanted pizza, I thought I might want something other than pizza and reviews rated this restaurant well. We were not disappointed. The pizza was delicious, my salad with walnuts and cheese was big and delicious and the veal...was good. The staff were very friendly. We sat outside. Everything was relaxing and it was great just listening to French people speak (even though we did not understand, the sound was nice). We would go there again!

We always eat here on our journeys home. A good pizza with generous toppings for Euros suits us very well. It is friendly helpful and has four dining areas, two of which are outside, one shaded and one sheltered. But it is their red...Bourgogne wine that we love. Euros for half a bottle is not cheap drinking, but the taste is truly wonderful and revives us after a long day at travelling. It is our little it of luxury at the end of a hole day and we really look forward to it.

Located not far form the hotel (Douce nuits), a family atmosphere reigns. Friendly service, open on Sunday evening! Italian style food, good beer.
