Les Pâtes Vivantes is a small noodle establishment north east of Gare Centrale just off Blvd Réné Lévesque. They specialize in handpulled noodles, with a bigger emphasis on stir-fried and soupless noodles.I ordered the lamb cumin noodles while my sister ordered the northwestern style lamb and eggplant noodles. Both of these noodle dishes were slightly spicy, but not too overpowering. One thing you will notice at this establishment is that the size of the noodles is preselected for you for each dish. Traveling in Montréal for work and so happy to find this restaurant close to the hotel since it is a spin off from the one in Paris we had close to the office. I can confirm the level of the food is similar and delightful. And I can confirm there 's no such thing as Orléans (french city) style fried chicken so the menu should be fixed as New Orleans Popeyes style fried chicken . Still, it was very good ?
These handpulled noodles had a great, chewy texture and the oil was wonderfully flavourful and very spicy just how we like it. The very fast service makes this pefect for a quick and very satisfying lunch.
This is the best Northern Chinese noodle restaurant in Montreal, and quite possibly the best in all of Canada. Even when compared to those in China, I would still rate it an impressive 8.5 out of 10.
