I arrived in Salers rather late for lunch. tired and hungry. Les Templiers was the first restaurant I met coming from the parking lot, and since the hour was well after lunch hour and the outside tables looked quite inviting, I didn't hesitate and asked if they would accomodate me. After some consultation with the kitchen I was admitted and while obviously being the last of the diners, I wasn't hurried and let to have a peaceful lunch. This made me assign the fourth circle to the rating while the food itself didn't merit more than three. I had the local speciality stuffed cabbage which was a very generous helping and quite edible in spite of the obvious fact that it has been reheate once too many times. For desert I had a Coup Colonel with decent lemon icecream and a generous shot of vodka. All in all a pleasant, if not spectacular. lunch.

Excellent food and service. We visited on two occasions and on the second we had the steak and pan fried truffade, the flavour was excellent and the steak very good. We also had the ice cream desserts which were lovely too. I have a nut allergy and the staff went out of their way to help and gave genuine friendly service. Salers is situated in a beautiful region.

We had read that Les Templers was a favorite spot, and after having dinner there one evening we could see why. Good local specialties and pleasant staff. The night we ate there, it seemed many locals were eating there as well, which is a good sign that its service and food are consistently good. Reasonably priced.

Excellent food and service. Large portions in fact probably a bit too big especially the salad starter! Beef was so tender it melted in the mouth. We had a lovely spot on the terrace with a stunning view. Staff very friendly.
