You have to take into account that they cater mainly for tourists, and that the menu is mainly auvergne specialities. Therefore this choise on the menu is what you get in almost all the restaurants in Salers. And they serve this correctly and good. But what i found the most important is that the service was, nevertheles the place was full, with a smile. They run arround as creazy, in order to serve everybody correctly, which they succeeded, but at the table they were relaxed and clame, having time for a joke.

First it is my fault, I didn't read the carte properly. I just expected that the top thing for a menu was an entree, not a drink. Gentiane at That!' Then 250g of meat is almost equal to half a cow. With a kilo of potatoes. But it was melt in your mouth delicious. However, if you are "anglophone medium," then I suggest you ask for "bien cuit " my " à point" was borderline "bleu ". Cheese and salad and then ice cream. As I lay in bed with a rounded stomach, I fear I will never be hungry again.

We had read that Les Templers was a favorite spot, and after having dinner there one evening we could see why. Good local specialties and pleasant staff. The night we ate there, it seemed many locals were eating there as well, which is a good sign that its service and food are consistently good.Reasonably priced.

Good restaurant. We tried some local dishes, hotpot (with various pork) and stuffed cabbage. Both good. Service was friendly, although they were busy, so it was a bit hard to get their attention on the patio where we sat.
