We are celebrating being in this beautiful City fir the first time having never traveled to the South before. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the classic Low Country cuisine but wanted to try something different and came upon Leyla’s serving Middle Eastern dishes. We found this wonderful bistro to be warm and cozy with a hint of sophistication. We had a great table by the front window on King Street watching the buzz of activity on the street while sipping a fabulous signature hibiscus martini that tasted as good as it looked. leyla is a great place to go when they are in charleston and want authentic Lebanese (as long as they are ready to spend a little more) because they had a special menu for the see Wee event, we could not get many things we wanted. they made us falafel and spicy carrots, although they were not on the menu for the night, because I told them I was vegan and was really excited to try these dishes. I'm glad I was both amazing. (falafel was the best thing I had) we also got hummus, which was very good and shared the fat salate and vegan moussaka. my only complaining was the pita was not warm, which is usually my fav part! the service was perfect and the food was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite places in Charleston! As an Iraqi who visits Charleston annually, I am here to visit every time we are in town. The food is so delicious, the appetizers are fantastic, but the dessert... yum yum yum yum! The servers are so friendly and I ordered a drink that Arak has in it. I believe how I ordered it, the server asked to make sure that I had licorice (arak had a strong licorice taste) but he knew how I said the word I was Arabic. The flower in the drink is a fabulous touch! My favorite dish is the chicken tawook with garlic and riceries. This court will not disappoint. This is a 10/10 recommend restaurant and I am so glad to see an Arab place in Charleston!
great location. nice service. Just eat. was a bit disappointed by our meal times. rind meat black was not special. meat not tender. the pita was not homemade. my daughter got a vegetarian court and it was good humiliated. husband has a fish dish and he really liked it, but I can't remember what he was. So one of three was happy.

Fabulous experience and the food was excellent! We are Lebanese so we can be very critical and this exceeded our expectations!! Leyla, the owner was very gracious in greeting all of her guests which made it even more enjoyable!!
The food was fine, but service was terrible. Layla’s advertises as fine dining but the service is far from it. It’s really unacceptable for the prices they charge.
It takes a unique pallet but the food is very good if you like mediterranean dishes. Hummus is the best I’ve had. Also the Desserts are great
Delicious food when ready to try something different, staff were very friendly and their recommendations were AMAZING!
