The service provided by John was wonderful, and I even had the chance to chat with the co-owners, Jeff and his sister V. I've been visiting Little Saigon since the days it was in Atlantic City and Somers Point, and it’s nice to see it now in the former Friendly's location in Northfield. The restaurant is very pleasant, both inside and out, and impeccably clean. Dining here feels like a nostalgic trip back to Atlantic City, but with the added comfort of being in a safer environment. I absolutely had nothing good to say about this restaurant because of its service. There was a Vietnamese server who did not help me place an order correctly for doordash and then allowed me to get in trouble when she helped me place the order.Also, when I would come in for future orders, she never addressed me and would always take care of the lighter and brighter skinned customers first if you know what I mean.What has redeemed my saved in this restaurant after I swore I would never support it unless I had a doordash delivery orderis the new white young waitress who is very cheeky , pretty and very nice. I was extremely disappointed with both the food and service at this restaurant. I had convinced my colleagues to join me for dinner here, and I ended up feeling embarrassed. None of us enjoyed our meals. We started with the rice paper rolls, which were overloaded with basil, including thick, hard stems. The shrimp were also poorly prepared; I could see the veins through the rice paper. The spicy lemongrass soup was tasteless, with plenty of spice but lacking real flavor. The steamed vegetables had a fishy smell and taste. The Cornish hen was bland and overcooked. We couldn’t even finish our meals and didn’t want to take the leftovers home. Our first time, FANTASTIC. We went 5pm on a Tuesday, quickly greeted, offered to choose our own table, perhaps 6 other tables occupied, lots of to go orders, well staffed w youthful active employees. Our server, Many (Mawhny), was polite, professional, friendly, attentive. Love the simple black white decor, great music choice, contemporary songs on piano. My wife loved her Curry Soup. I loved the Pork Patties. They were more round than flat and perfectly caramelized, served with noodles, veggies, lettuce, garnish. The food here wasn't bad; we've been eating at their previous location for a while. However, I noticed that the banh mi viet sandwich has shrunk in size. The shaking beef was decent, but if you're seeking genuine Vietnamese flavors, this isn't the place for you. While the dishes aren’t terrible, they don't quite have the authentic taste of Vietnamese cuisine. If you're looking for more authentic options, I recommend checking out the other Vietnamese restaurants in Mays Landing.
I've eaten here twice, both times the cashier was very friendly and helpful. Both times I had the rice vermicelli box. This time I had it with pork and fried egg rolls. I liked the cabbage salad that I had the first time better than the egg rolls. Both pork and chicken were good and tasty. I waited about 10 minutes both times as it was cooked to order.
