The Lindenhurst Diner was the way for me and my wife. We live in California, but come to New York. Every time we get to the island, I have to visit this diner. It is a newly opened diner with a kind of deco style. Love the colors and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The food is delicious, place is very clean and staff very friendly. They all seem happy to work there. I love that diner has a lot of healthy choices. The salmon salad and roared fillet dishes and can honestly say it is better than a seafood restaurant. The Lindenhurst Diner has an entire vegan menu I think it's around four pages? I've never seen such a substantial vegan breakfast menu at a non vegan place, so seeing their menu was such a pleasant surprise! I got the Just Egg Fritatta my first Just Egg experience! and it was delicious. So filling! I was full immediately, probably due to the addition of home fries and two pieces of toast. My husband got the buffalo chicken wrap and said it was the best wrap he's ever had. I'm definitely interested in exploring more of their vegan menu! I think more diners should take the Lindenhurst Diner's lead in offering a variety of vegan items.
I’m so glad we wound up stopping here because the other place we were going to was closed. I love oldschool diners, especially the outdated roadside Americana ones with steel exteriors…. But they almost never have anything vegan. This place has an entirely separate vegan menu, where just about every diner classic is accounted for. The food was fantastic, and so was the overall vibe of the space.
i’ve been here a few times and the food is always good, not necessarily amazing though. it’s nice there are a ton of vegan options. i’ve had my order mixed up a couple times where i received something different from the vegan menu than what i ordered, but overall it’s a solid place for vegan food! I go here all the time with friends and love how it’s open so late so sometimes we go for pancakes at 9pm. I have had the vegan cinnamon pancakes, vegan chicken Caesar wrap, and the impossible tot nachos. I plan to come more and try more of there vegan menu since there are a lot. I would give this place a 5 if I could.
What can i say, it's your local diner for 2000's. Separate Vegan Menu that has all your favorite diner food. And yes just like in the past they remember you. Great when eating with a group or need something quick to pick up after a night out. Clean inside and staff is always nice and honest about pickup and wait times.
