Midweek lunch for 3 adults and 1 child. Lovely surroundings inside garden centre with tables both outdoors and indoors. In the small indoors area the tables are crammed together with no atmosphere at all. Orders were taken quickly but then waited 40 mins to be told kids gnocchi order was not available then another 5 mins until other meals started to arrive (toasted sandwiches). Coffee was brought out quickly but water ordered didn't arrive had to flag down staff member to be told they had run out of bottles for the tap water. I would have settled for a glass of water but this wasn't offered!! Food was very tasty and well presented but was taken to wrong table before it arrived at ours. Even...

We first visited this place with a girlfriend when we first arrived in the country.5 years on,husband and I decided to re-visit since we were on the area.We weren't disappointed, place seemed even better.I had avocado, crushed feta, poached eggs on a sourdough with chilli dressing. It was scrumptious. Service as usual is highly commendable. You have to enter thru Eden Gardens so the chances of buying some things for the garden is high (as we did).We enjoyed admiring the display of different flowers in bloom and the shop in general too.

The ambience of the cafe with its open fire is wonderful and inviting. That's where the positives end! This establishment has a excellent menu that promises much but delivers little. Two water glasses are permanently located on the table, but alas, water is not provided! The menu lists scallops, brussel sprout gratin with speck. Search as you may, there is no scallops! The chef will deny this, and is adamant that she saw them earlier in the day! What an enigma! You are left feeling like John Cleese and the dead parrot.

Have been to Lintons in the past as they have a children garden off the side of the cafe but our experience today won't be bringing is back!! I requested our hot drinks in take away cups, as it's safer around our littlies. Was rudely told no, regardless of the reason why. We were told they were only for take away customers and if we weren't staying we could but not if we stayed. Needless to say we left and went to the Hungry Peacock in Tyabb who were very accommodating. Certainly not child friendly anymore :( Réservez une table maintenant

I've been here a few times now. It's cosy inside the cottage in winter with there're going. A little crammed with all the tables in a small space however the food is good especially the desserts. I have been here once hosting a group and the waitress told my friend to stop drinking her juice she bought in despite us ordering 10 coffees! I was extremely embarrassed and it really put a sour taste in my mouth re Lintons.

I visited Linton's earlier this month for lunch with a friend following a recommendation. I ordered the goulash which was delicious, my friend ordered the scallop, brussel sprout gratin with speck, the dish came with no scallops, the staff asked the chef about this who insisted that there were scallops. Instead of an apology the staff stood their ground that they were right. This was very disappointing.

Excellent food in a quaint old house . On a cold day room inside is very limited ,there is a closed in patio with gass heaters out the back but the wind whistles through. On a fine day the dining experience is greatly enhanced . The menu while not extensive has something for most people. The price is good and service excellent.

Lovely quiet location over the crazy holiday period was a perfect place to have lunch with my mum. Pot pies were tasty although a little watery. Coffee was ok and staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely will be back! Réservez une table maintenant
