When it comes to drinks, they have a good wine selection, including some excellent local BC wines such as the Charme D ile Sparkling from Mill Bay D.C., which is bone dry and fresh. For starters, we enjoyed the grilled Romaine Wedge and the Albacore Tuna Tartare, with the only disappointment being the Rockfish Brandade, which lacked flavor for such a rich dish. Moving on to the entrees, the steak was solid and delicious, although nothing out of the ordinary. For dessert, the Chocolate Cheesecake with Peanut Butter Mousse was a pleasant treat, not overly sweet and definitely worth trying.
My first time eating here was for my birthday. I had read the reviews and had some friends talk about their experience. Over all not a bad experience. we were seated at the bar, was able to watch the bartenders make cocktails. Service was good, it didtake a while to have our order taken. Although the food was good, I did find the price a bit high based on what was received. Iunderstand a lot of factors go into building the price list, I just thought for a spot that is claimed to be one of the best inYYJ, my expectation was higher than what was received.
You just can't deny that this place is great. It's just a vibe you get when you are here. They real just put in effort into everything they do. They Care about your dining experience. We came into this restaurant after recieveing a Facebook promotioncoupon for a free appetizer. How generous! And we loved the food, atmosphere and service. Only critique was that the mussels inbroth could have been cooked down a little more because they did taste a bit like wine. But overall I still give this place a 5.There burger is one of the best in town!
On a chilly Saturday evening, we roamed around Victoria in search of a restaurant with a short wait. Thankfully, we stumbled upon this hidden gem with an available table. The Rockfish brandade fritter, frites, and oysters were all delicious. We also enjoyed some mocktails made with Lumette gin. Despite the slightly noisy atmosphere, the cozy and charming vibe of the place won us over. Highly recommend for a drink or a meal in the area.
This charming hidden restaurant bar was a perfect way to cap off the evening. We initially came for dinner but were happily surprised by the late night menu. We ordered fries, crab cakes, shishito peppers, and tuna tartar, and all dishes were generously portioned and delicious. The cocktails were top-notch, though a bit pricey. The atmosphere was lovely.
