From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile! We were lucky enough to have the manager, Anna, serving us. She seated us, brought our drinks, and took our order. The food was fantastic; I particularly loved the mushroom rajas tacos paired with my smoky mezcal margarita. Had family visiting who wanted some good Mexican fare. Found this place near the John Wayne airport. We had limited time as someone had a flight immediately after our lunch but service was very quick even though the place looked full with the business lunch crowd. The food was very good. The taco burrito was huge but I found myself finishing it as it wasn't really heavy. The sauce (mole? on it was very tasty. Rice and beans were seasoned well. Everyone was happy with their meal. Prices were a little on the high end but the quality makes it definitely worth going to again, even if I need to drive up from south OC.
I overheard one server mentioning to another that she found spider webs in her hair and cockroaches on the floor. I've visited this restaurant multiple times without noticing how unclean it is in the back. Now, I'm uncertain about their cleaning standards—certainly not acceptable in a post-COVID world! If you're considering takeout, you have no idea what your food might have come into contact with or how it has been handled! Just a heads-up!
This restaurant was once amazing, but now it seems like just a way to make money. The food is mediocre at best, and since the renovation, the prices have become exorbitant—don’t even get me started on the happy hour deals. I wouldn't advise spending your money here, especially when there are better and more authentic choices available for much less elsewhere.

The food is fantastic, but I find the prices to be too high for what you receive. What's with these prices? Additionally, the sign outside indicated that closing hours are at 9, but when I walked in, the waitress informed me that they were already closing. It was only 7:50 PM on a Wednesday. So which is correct?
This restaurant is incredibly authentic and delicious. The service is exceptionally kind and attentive. The ambiance is stunning, making you feel like you're at a beautiful, cozy ranch.
The best Mexican food I've ever had! The chorizo shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing! The waitress was very friendly too!
Little Onion was one of our go-to spot when I worked in CM. Great food, great service. Highly recommend.
