Here is the deal people that need to be fed and for a very inexpensive 2 bucks it can be done. In reality the cost of the meal doesn't cover the cost of the food, labour and infrastructure, not even close.Now the meals have to be very neutral to feed the different cross section of people and the main concept is to get nutrition to the clients.If you want to help pay more for a meal and may be bring your favorite spice/flavoring. Bang for the buck your not going to beat it in Brockville and it's a good cause. You won't get a better value in a 3rd world country.What's a bottomless cup of coffee worth ? Seemly less then 2$ here.

This low-cost restaurant is a tremendous service to the community and provided by dedicated staff and volunteers. A nutritious meal is $1. Meals are served five days a week on weekdays from 4-6:30 p.m.. Loaves and Fishes, a non-profit organization which welcomes donations, is located on the lower level of the Front Avenue Resource Centre at 25 Front Street West.

The food, management, and cooks at this restaurant are exceptional, and the total cost of your visit is only $2. It is always a pleasure to spend time with the friendly people there. The servers make you feel at home and welcomed.

I don't know much about them, I was going to look into them needing volunteers after the Corona Virus becomes safer. Everything I read from the community says they are doing a great service. I might like to be a part of that.
