This used to be a lovely restaurant but the service badly lets it down now, new staff who seem uninterested in what they are supposed to be doing and actually come across very rude. A long wait to be seated even though we booked a table and about a 20 minute wait to order, it seemed chaotic even though there was lots of staff. No one checked if everything was ok and they didn’t even bother clearing the plates away or taking our order for dessert. There were lots of people at the bar for a wedding and they were right beside tables with people eating not ideal. After reading other reviews regarding the staff and service, I wanted to share my positive experience. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The food was delicious, although the portion size was a bit small. However, after enjoying two courses, I felt comfortably full. The prices were a bit high, but the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and offered a good selection of local beers. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
We stopped in for lunch today and were very disappointed. We paid £50 for 2 low-quality burgers and were shocked by the skinny frozen chips that came with them, along with 2 cokes. The service charge felt like a rip off, even though the staff were okay. Overall, the whole experience ruined our day. We wish we had checked out other places before choosing this one. Very disappointing.
Food great, service bland, not a smile to be had. We visited at a quiet time on Saturday lunch service. Got a table easily without booking. Good menu, food was excellent but all the staff look so miserable!!! To top it had10% added as service charge for what?!?! I honestly tip when deserved but this really was put in expected with little done to deserve.

We had a great time at the restaurant, enjoying some drinks and a meal in a comfortable setting with friendly staff. The food was delicious, and the convenience of being able to walk there from the campsite made it even better.
Poor customer service, ordered and three out of our five meals were unavailable. Food took ages to arrive, then no cutlery, waiter very apologetic. They whacked on a £13 service charge. Would not recommend or would not go back

We stopped here on our way from Fort William to Glasgow and loved our time having a drink and some lunch. Scrumptious chicken Ciabatta and hot chips. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended.
