My friend asked me to take him to eat French, I immediately thought of Loluk Bistro which has a very good reputation. I admit I never took the time to go there, so it was the perfect opportunity. Fast and efficient booking. So here we are in this charming restaurant in Surry Hills. A cordial welcome, we were offered a table in the back of the room, perfect for a little privacy. The menu is tempting, however the smell of raclette cheese bothers me a bit, I 'm not fond of it but it 's the specialty of the day. Went to try their ‘all you can eat mussels’ which have a choice of 3 flavours, Roquefort cheese, traditional white wine, onions and cream, and tomato. Although there are 3 flavours, you can only choose one flavour for the night. The cost per head is $29 if you order a drink and $39 without a drink. The mussels were delicious but a little on the small side and are served with fries and an introductory serving of French bread. Service was a little slow but where isn’t these days? Lovely atmosphere and a sweet little place. Would definitely go again!
Great French restaurant. The choice on the menu is diverse and typically French, it feels like we're in the actual country. We had great service from the French waitress Dounya, she was very kind and accomodating on everything we asked for and the athmosphere, both inside and outside, is perfect for an evening with friends. I totally recommend it if you are looking for classic French food, could not be better.
