I recently had stomach surgery and was craving something comforting. Las Americas did not disappoint with their chicken soup. Oh my goodness! I could only manage the broth, but it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend mentioned that the noodles and vegetables in it were just as tasty. It really felt like a taste of home.
The food was quite bland and lacked any flavor. It seemed like the chef was preparing the dishes just for themselves. The snapper fish, despite being seasoned with salt, pepper, and lime, still had an unpleasant aroma and tasted like nothing. On a positive note, the service was good.
Whenever my partner and I forget to cook, we always choose this restaurant. The staff and chefs are quite large in number, and it's hard to find anything to complain about when the food is well-portioned and reasonably priced. It's a local favorite that has been a staple for years.
