At first, when we walked in, the place didn't seem very inviting; it looked a bit shabby. However, I noticed they are in the process of refurbishing the top floor, so I suspect that once it’s open, the downstairs will also get an update. The cleanliness of the dining area could be improved. It wasn't bad by any means, but there were areas, like the sides of the tables, that seemed to have been overlooked between services. If you’re seated at a black table, any missed spots are quite noticeable. On the positive side, the service was excellent. The only wait we encountered was for the bill, which I believe is often delayed in BYO places so that you can finish your drinks—everything else was...
The restaurant has a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, situated in a lovely part of the city. It's a mix of rustic charm and modern cleanliness, creating a welcoming environment. Our waiter was professional, friendly, and well-informed. I had one of the best gourmet burgers I've ever tasted. The dining experience was excellent and reasonably priced, especially since they allow customers to bring their own wine. It's an ideal spot for couples, families with older children, and groups. We will definitely be coming back!
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant for Father's Day. The ambiance was delightful and cozy. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, the quality of the food made it worthwhile. It's important to indulge in a nice meal every now and then! We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and the chef, who were both very friendly and took the time to chat with us. If you're looking for a great place to celebrate a birthday in a more intimate setting, L'Ours is definitely a fantastic choice!
hidden little jewel in la prairie, parking available 2 blocks over. in a cellar, although the stone walls and decoration make it a large cozy place. Eating and service were impeccable and best is it to bring her own wein. interesting part of the city that gives them the feeling, they are in a small town far from the city. we happened to have gone to a night where a live band was played in front of the church, which was entertained over the restaurant and the whole city.
Disappointing experience. I ordered a well-done steak, but they served it medium instead. The potatoes were overcooked as well. The service was mediocre; our waitress confused our order with another table's, but she eventually corrected her mistake. We were seated in the basement, which was quite crowded and very noisy. I recommend avoiding tables down there; the terrace might be a better option. On a positive note, the dessert was delicious.
Nice restaurant when gou enter bit our table was wobbly and thought my bottle of wine would end up on the floor along with so.e glasses. My salmon tartare was kind of bland and my husband found his salmon tough which must be hard to do but he wasn't loving it. We were also not offered an ice bucket for our white wine so we opened it ourselves and poured it ourselves. So the service is lacking.
le restaurant comme tel, l'ambiance etc, tres normal. La nourriture? Très ordinaire pour le prix, bonne entrée, plat principal ordinaire et petite portion. Le dessert a l'air d'avoir été acheté au IGA. Le restaurant a chargé 120$ pour 4 absent (30$ par personne) sur un groupe de 40. Carrément du vol vue la qualité de la nourriture. 2 étoile c'est encore généreux.
that was last night a great experience for my birthday! many thanks, my gast was so impressed by the food that my suggestion is for 2 8 people groups for the room, but I think they can arrange a bigger group! good it worth, bringing their own wine prices are very reasonable
