I had decided to eat at love fish because of the proximity of the ferry. eating was very good with friendly staff. despite the usual busy Friday night, the waiting staff found an available table on the promenade. the king prawn cocktail did...not disappointed, a good serve in a deep entree plate that looked more like a bowl, instead of serving a small glass bowl with a tiny salat. a word of intention may not draw the idea of heads of crugs. the main body is peeled, but head and **** are unpeeled. I don't have any problem at all when shrimping or use the **** to keep the garnels to dip into the sauce. you can use knife and fork if you want. grilled barramundi was cooked quite tenderly, fell f...

Had lunch today witb my wife The menu was simple but interesting and the decor is nice. The prices are on the high side but given the location it was expected. I had high hopes however I was disappointed. The food was very average in taste and quality. Nothing to wow the taste buds. I could have the same at a food court. It seems to be a reoccurring theme in Sydney where resturants in nice locations, especially around Darling Harbour and Barangaroo cannot offer good quality tasting food. I do not mind paying above average for decent food but for average food it is a crime. I i will not be going back... there are plenty of good resturants to try in Sydney.
Chose this place as it was quieter probably could see why as the dishes came out were uninspiring and lacked love! I was suprised at the price for a risotto and it turned out like a $10 one not $37. No garnish just quickly turned...out like a food Court and the taste was unremarkable in fact my home made risottos taste better than this. Drinks served seemed to be watered down. Waitress didn’t speak or make eye contact when clearing the table no smile. Made the dining experience sour. Years back had an impressive lunch with friends but now wouldn’t go back after seeing what was served up last night to several customers.
As a harbour side restaurant this is not bad and provides out door eating, with blankets for those that feel the cold. The service is quick and efficient but can feel rushed as though they would like to clear you out as soon as you finish. This was attested to, from my experience, by the signage indicating it is appreciated if you leave quickly and the fact whilst I was eating I watched the staff start clearing a couples table before they had completely finished.Having said that the food was excellent and piping hot and if the paella is on the specials I'd recommend it. I have visited Love.Fish twice. On both occasions, I ate the yellowtail kingfish (a.k.a. amberjack). It was absolutely superb; I can't recall the last time that I so enjoyed a fish dish in a restaurant. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the skin was beautifully crisp. The various sides I've tried have been excellent, too, especially the brussel sprouts and the hand cut chips. Both times, the service was as good as the food. One thing that surprised me is that they don't serve decaffeinated coffee. I have no idea why.
I have been here 3 times in as many weeks. Comprehensive menu and good specials. Good wine list and service. I particularly like that if you say I want to get in and out in 30 mins or say you are in no rush / take time then they actually listen and do that. Brussel sprout sides are too good, don't order them....
While awaiting our ferry, we stopped in for a quick drink. I found the bartenders to be helpful and knowledgable. Definitely a great spot for a drink any time of day. Can’t comment on the food as we did not eat but we glanced at the menu and it seemed appealing. I would go back to try the food!
Came here on the recommendation of a local and got the chowder and it was amazingSo many clams and muscles that we couldn't finish it. Réservez une table maintenant

"My girlfriend really enjoys thirsty bird, but I think it's just average. The fried chicken is pretty typical, but the pickles stand out as unique."
