I received a very warm welcome from the reception staff, and everyone was friendly throughout my visit. However, I found the wine prices to be quite steep; I wasn't informed of the price per glass before ordering, and paying £15 for a dry rosé seems excessive. I would only expect to see that kind of pricing in a five-star hotel. For that price, I would hope for a higher-end rosé like Whispering Angel, Rock, or Mirabeau. On a positive note, my starter of meats and cheese was delightful. Unfortunately, my carbonara wasn't served hot enough, but since the staff were so polite, I didn't want to bring it up.
We gathered for a family get-together, and unfortunately, we were all quite disappointed. The service was satisfactory, but there was an issue with the drink orders. Our table was placed directly under the heaters, which made it uncomfortably warm. Similar to a previous review, there was an unpleasant smell resembling drains, and the music was too loud, making conversation difficult. The main courses were served barely warm and didn't seem worth the price. We also found the desserts to be rather bland. Overall, we have decided not to return. Service: Dine in.
Bitterly disappointed with lunch yesterday. Ordered Salmon Panzanella, what arrived was an overcooked salmon fillet on cold cut tomatoes, on a plate drizzled with balsamic glaze. Might I suggest the chef takes a look at at Gino's recipe before serving that to paying customers. On hindsight I should have complained...but I thought a lot more of my family than the food so chose not to spoil the occasion. It was a great shame, also the lasy who served us may wish to smile once in a while, she was extremely dour...
We dined here with family from Vancouver. The service was decent, but we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. Both the main course and dessert were rather bland. Additionally, the loud music made it difficult to have a proper conversation. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
