Lucky Garden Chinese Take Away

Came here for the first time not knowing what to expect but was blown away by the food and service! The lady who served us was super patient and friendly as we took time to scan the menu and always had a smile on her face we didn’t once feel pressured. Very different vibes from most Chinese restaurants I must say and really appreciate the warm service. In the end after going through the menu, we got takeaway for the family and everyone enjoyed their meal. We ordered chicken cashew nut, Mongolian lamb, honey chicken, seafood combination, Hokkien noodles fried rice, spring rolls, dim sum, chicken beef skewers and fried icecream. Went to the Lucky Garden chinese takeaway on Daws Road, Edwardstown tonight. Ordered Entree Satay Beef Sticks Satay Chicken Sticks with a large fried rice with extra meat, you know, extra chicken extra pork, no peas no corn no bean shoots. Picked it up, went home. Totally disgusting, rice was so salty that it couldn't be eaten no extra meat at all in it. The satay sticks, both the beef the chicken was dry, over cooked obviously days old. Again couldn't be eaten. Complete waste of money. Will be going elsewhere in future even if I've got to travel 50kms to get decent chinese food... very unhappy customer.

Food was good but we chose delivery and it took two phone calls and one and half hours to get our food. Birthday dinner was ruined waiting till 9pm for the food to arrive and people wanting to leave as they had work next day. It was a big order that should have been much better managed. Won’t order from here again.

Ordered takeaway, food arrived cold sweet and sour pork was soggy batter with little to no pork inside. Veg was majority stalk so unappetising. Beef was fatty and tough a terrible experience straight into the rubbish bin.

Been in the local area for some time, but tried it for the first time this year and have been going back regularly since.
