I like Lucy's and have gone there several times. This visit was the least pleasant of my visits to date. The kitchen was slower than usual and I think that the waitress was a little overrun, even though it was not during a rush.Still, the waitress was very pleasant and accommodating, and did the best that she could.Something was a little off in the kitchen on this visit, as the food was not as significant in portion, and not as hot. The food was also a little bit on what I would call the limp side, probably because it was slow to come out of the kitchen. This experience will not detract from my intentions to return on future occasions.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. The cheesy chicken is my absolute favorite dish. You get a generous portion of perfectly battered and fried chicken topped with queso, bacon, green onions, and tomatoes, along with two sides. I highly recommend the broccoli cheese and rice! And be sure to grab a slice of cake or pie before you leave. If you're too full, definitely take it to go—you won't regret it! Everything is made from scratch, and who doesn't love that?
This restaurant offers homemade-tasting food at reasonable prices, with quick service and a friendly server who routinely checks on our drink refills and makes sure we're enjoying our meal. We also appreciated the presence of a friendly yet unobtrusive busser. The location is easy to find, just west of Taylor on the north side of Highway 79. Today's staff included Maria (the manager), Isabella (the server), and Jr (who clears the tables).
The food was disappointing, the waitress had a sour attitude, and I won't be returning. I just ordered a basic burger. The patty tasted like it had been microwaved and frozen, the onions were old and stale, and the fries were bland and only lukewarm. If you can’t prepare a decent burger, you really have a problem.

First time here the food was above-average the service was outstanding will definitely be coming back. My waitress Maria was amazing so yes a 5-star rating.Update: had breakfast there this time, of course Maria is a bright constant there, the breakfast is plentiful and at a great value.
Second time here. Gave it another shot today, but will never be back. Waitress never wanted to come back to take our order. We just left after sitting there for 20 minutes. Can't wait to get out of Taylor.
Went for breakfast and waited 48 minutes. Food never came and we had to leave. Meanwhile, all surrounding tables that came after us got their food
This little restuarant was a great surprise! Come for the Chickrn Fried Steak, and stay for the homemade desserts!! Excellent service too!

Biggest fluffiest pancakes ever! Delicious migas too. Unexpected gem in a motel. It will definitely come again.
