Our experience at Lumbre was magical, definitely among our top ten dining experiences. In the tiny village of Casalareina, the restaurant is located in a historic building that has been modernized and beautifully renovated while preserving architectural details. Outside you can also look at the beautiful countryside and their thriving kitchen garden The 10 course tasting menu was an incredible gastronomic journey, each dish was an artistic and delicious present. Truly the chef is a creative genius with cuisine and it was delightful to visit the kitchen and meet him and his staff. We had the Menú Fuego and were very satisfied with the amount and variety of flavor and food. The sommelier was very friendly and offered a great recommendation. Service was fast, professional and attentive. We got some ham and cheese with a couple glasses of wine before we were seated and served, it was a great experience in the underground cellar. We then had a bottle of Rioja reserva to accompany the menu, it was perfect. I couldn’t finish the pastries that came with the coffee at the end, it was a very filling meal. I highly recommend for an overall experience with the local wine and dishes. Definitely hope to return one day, and will recommend to anybody passing by from the States.
Elegimos el menú Origen de 40€ aunque ofrecen otros de precio más alto y no ha defraudado en absoluto. Todo estaba elaborado de una forma muy fina, haciendo delicioso el producto, el cual también se notaba de calidad. Primero te sirven un aperitivo de 4 porciones diferentes en el calao junto con un zurracapote increíble. El menú fantástico. Como despedida te ofrecen una fresa de su huerto y un pedazo de brownie caliente. Además de los detalles, te explican cada plato y el servicio es amable. Para volver siempre.
Uno de los mejores restaurantes en La Rioja, con una combinación de comida tradicional y de vanguardia exquisita. Trabajan con buen producto y se nota que cuidan la elaboración. Mi debilidad aquí son los productos frescos de la huerta, cuando tienen puerro es muy muy recomendable. Otros puntos a destacar son la amabilidad y atención del servicio. Merece también mucho la pena bajar a ver el calado y tomarse algo ahí.

Una comida cocinada con la mejor de las técnicas y servida con la máxima profesionalidad. Trato extraordinario del producto de cercanía, sabores auténticos y perfectamente combinados. Delicadeza y mimo en cada detalle. ¡Qué suerte tener un sitio de este nivel en La Rioja!

Todos los platos de 10, no ha habido ninguno al que le pueda poner un pero. El espacio es fantástico y el trato también. Volveré seguro.
