Yung Lan is undoubtedly the best spot for Chinese food in the area. The wonton soup is generously packed with sizeable pieces of roast pork, unlike what you find at most places. The broccoli is cooked to perfection, not undercooked like in many other restaurants. The egg foo young is flavorful and served in a hearty portion. The chicken fried rice includes a generous amount of white meat chicken, which is a rarity in other places. This restaurant really knows how to do it right! It doesn't get a full 5 stars simply because it isn't quite as outstanding as the offerings in NYC's Chinatown.
I’ve been away from New Jersey for some time and haven’t had much luck finding good Chinese food during my travels. So, I was really looking forward to trying this place since it’s right next to my favorite Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The chicken in the orange and General Tso dishes was very dry, and the fried rice lacked flavor. I was surprised to see that this restaurant had such high ratings. My advice would be to sample a smaller dish before committing to a family-sized order like we did.
Great family owned Chinese restaurant. I cannot speak to the atmosphere, because we always get take out, but the staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious. The portions are so generous I usually get at least two meals out of one order. Additionally, they often throw in others side items for free. Parking: There is no problem with parking.
Very impressed with Lung Yan, we will definitely be back!We placed a large order for 8 people and everyone loved it. Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. For American Chinese food in the area, the quality and price can’t be beat.The scallion pancakes, sesame chicken, and general tso chicken were some of our favorites.

Might be one of the best takeout places in town. Food is tasty and has classic ingredients that many other restaurants have cut to save costs. (water chestnuts, and corn in the veggie fried rice, extra pork pieces in the wonton soup etc).
The best Chinese food I've had in a long time—definitely the best in the area! The chicken and broccoli with brown sauce is a perfect 10 out of 10, and the service is really friendly.
Cheap cuts of meat. Dry noodles very stale. Large portions for lunch specials. Good value.
Best Chinese in Long Hill. Very nice owners. Order is always right.
