Arrived around 8ish not too crowded were seated immediately. Our server Jonathan was friendly offered suggestions. Huckleberry Sangria was good. Chicken Club Rolls came with a ranch dipping sauce. I enjoy bacon, but it was overpowering took away from the overall taste. A good French Onion Soup with the bread in pieces verses one large piece made eating easier. Seemed a little salty, but that is part of the appeal of this type of soup. Let's talk Meatloaf... topped with crispy onions that added nothing to the dish. Again the bacon flavor was just too much. Ordered a Cesar Salad with chicken since the beer took 20 min to arrive. I was a bit concerned for how long the food would take. Cesar salads are not that complicated and they managed to ruin it. The salad was drenched in dressing. Then the chicken was cold looked like they opened and precooked chicken bag and just dumped it on top. I was expecting a grilled chicken breast or something to that effect. I mean how hard is it to grill a chicken breast? Never been so disappointed over a salad. The person that was with me ordered a burger and it was pretty good. Our server was nice. Not sure if they were understaffed which is common nowadays. Can’t blame them for that. But the salad. We decided to dine at Mackenzie River based on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was pleasant when we arrived for an early dinner on a Monday. The bar had plenty of seating and TVs, and the decor had a rustic outdoor vibe. Our server, Leah, was excellent and attentive. The menu featured burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and more, and we opted for burgers. They were generous in size and delicious. My burger came with blue cheese crumbs, BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles - it was fantastic. We also tried the spinach artichoke dip and California club rolls, both were delicious. We plan to return and sample some of the other items from the menu.
The restaurant is very clean inside and out, with ample parking available. The bar area is well-organized with a skilled bartender, and the menu is diverse with attentive waitstaff. The seating options are plentiful and the layout is well-designed. There is great music at the bar, with a wide selection of drinks both bottled and on tap. The food is delicious, hot, fresh, and well-prepared. For a great dining experience without feeling rushed or waiting a long time, visit on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a date night, family meal, or celebrating birthdays. I am rarely so impressed as to give 5 stars. Réservez une table maintenant
This restaurant is my go-to spot! I frequent it after work regularly. This past Friday night, 6/1/22, was the best dining experience I've had there! The music was fantastic and created a great atmosphere. Normally the vibe is chill, but that evening it was extra lively! The street corn nachos were amazing! The bartender Nicki and servers Josh and Lisa always take good care of me and are incredibly friendly. I'll definitely be bringing my friends back next week!
The pizza was really good even though we decided on an Old fashioned pepperoni pizza. The meatloaf was like a reheated meal out of my refrigerator except the bacon on the outside was crispy. I've had better from here. This visit would have been rated a three-star, but I rate it a four star restaurant overall.
Ordered a pizza, a flatbread and a side of veggies to go. The best part was the veggies. The steak pizza had maybe three small strips of steak. The flatbread was dry and on the thinnest piece of “bread” I’ve ever seen. Not to mention the way it was thrown around in the box. Definitely not worth $11.
