We ordered from her last night thru Grubhub. The cake slice had mold on it! That is disgusting and extremely unsanitary. So either they knew it was spoiled and we're trying to get rid of it, or they weren't aware that their fridge was in need of maintenance. Something that is usually checked during a health inspection and which should have been repaired if noted. When we called to let them know, we were told to contact Grubhub to get a refund. The food at Madison Cafe is good, and I really appreciate the chefs. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal. However, I find the prices quite high, and the design at the front, including the decor, didn't appeal to me. Additionally, the plus-size female staff member working at the register had a terrible attitude, which was off-putting and could drive customers away. This is harmful to the business. I also noticed from other reviews that she has received multiple negative comments about her behavior.
I visited Madison Cafe this morning and was shocked to see the cook handling food with one glove on and one glove off, touching everyone's food with bare hands. When confronted, they said that’s how the cook prepares the food. This is completely unacceptable. As a cook, you should know by now not to touch food without proper gloves. I wouldn’t care if it was Gordon Ramsay—my food should always be handled with gloves. I won’t be returning, and I will be reporting this to the health department.

I've ordered from Madison Cafe countless times. I love their tacos, quesadillas, and morir soñando, and their delivery is quick too!
The salmon tasted extremely unpleasant, with a strong taste of mercury and a dirty, unclean flavor that was quite off-putting.
The food was quite good, and the chorizo quesadilla was delicious. I would definitely eat here again.
I love this restaurant every time I visit! Thank you for the wonderful service and presentation.
