Working in the hospitality sector, I decided to meet a few colleagues for some pre Christmas drinks. The range of drinks available was truly amazing. I was recommended a Gin and tonic by a lovely bubbly girl called Louise. Who also recommended I visit another great place close by called the Lion and Snake. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, which just seemed to whisper away due to the buzzing atmosphere. If your looking for a great atmosphere and attentive team, then make sure you visit the Magna Carta!
The food is excellent unless you are allergic to garlic then there is basically only scampi or fish and chips available. Staff are friendly and polite but the whole establishment is NOT disabled friendly at all. The entrance has a couple of steps, in first section there are three more steps and within this area all of the seating is high stool type, to the other areas for dining there is either a flight of stairs up or a flight down, no wheelchair access.
Fantastic, friendly and helpful service! My daughter, mother and father-in-law really enjoyed our cheese burger, cowboy burger, piri piri jacket potato and fish and chips. I enjoyed the well thought out interior which made the most of the space on three floors. We liked the Magna Carta so much we came twice in one short weekend visit to Lincoln. What a great location, right next to the Cathedral. We'll certainly be back!
Today, I treated my mother to an early Mother's Day gift by taking her to the Manga Carta pub in Lincoln. We enjoyed a few bottles of cider and ordered fish and chips. I really enjoyed the fish, as it was great and flaky. However, we were disappointed with the chips, as they appeared unappetizing and were clearly McCain brand. Considering the price I paid for them, I expected fresh chips instead.

The staff at this restaurant were exceptional in their friendliness and welcoming demeanor. They were extremely accommodating to allergies and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing them, even as the pub started to fill up and get busy during our visit for the weekly pub quiz. The food was delicious and offered great value.
On a couple of evenings in Lincoln, we stopped by this restaurant and enjoyed a few pints. Although we did not try the food, this review will cover the quality of the beer, service, and overall atmosphere of the establishment.
This pub is a great option for those exploring Lincoln, as it is conveniently located next to the Castle and Cathedral. The walking ghost tours begin right across from it, making it a convenient stop for visitors.
Located at the top of the hill in Lincoln near the cathedral, this charming pub is a great place to visit. The staff are friendly and welcoming, although it may be a bit quiet on a Wednesday night.
