My husband and I were there about four months ago and it was the best sushi we had ever had pricy but worth it. We just went tonight and I was so dissapointed that I just had to figure out a way to tell people. I asked if there has been a new owner recently and my answer was greated with a pause and a "Not really!" What does that mean? Never asked me why I ask. The service was very slow, the food ok. At best. For that price really, it should be great food. The waiter seemed to be pressed to serve me and just move on. What a great new find for us! Went twice (lunch and dinner) during our stay in Montreal. Probably got the deal here for lunch! My husband closed his eyes and took a sniff of the soup and was brought back to Japan. The portions are perfect. The flavors well married. I am personnaly in love with the Maiko salad. We don't like mayonaise and they accommodated us without any problem. The service is impeccable. At lunch time, it is definetely a place for business lunch, at dinner, it was as crowded so make a reservation. Don't be fooled by the exterior, when you walk in, you feel and get the experience like a restaurant in Las Vegas! Highly recommended!
Make never disappoints. The Chef's tasting menu is always full of surprises of incredible combined tastes and gorgeous presentation. On our last visit, chef Maiko came to say hello, so sweet. It is not cheap, 75$ for 7 courses, but so worth it. A treat we look forward to!The ambiance is trendy and the music is a bit loud, so maybe not the choice if you want a really quiet evening, but for a fun evening with amazing food, this is the place. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is in a little strip mall, once inside, you can think you are in a trendy place downtown!We highly recommend!
If you want good quality sushi, this is the place. Very professional, very nice, newly renovated decor, amazing sushi. Service is ok, not overly friendly but good when you need service. Very good restaurant for friends, business meeting, date night. I have kids and I have to admit, I don't see many children there. Check out their table dhote menu. Definitely worth it for the amount of food you get. You can very easily share it with someone if you order a second soup and maybe another roll.

Thanks to the knowledge of our waiter and his team, I was able to really enjoy a huge selection of Sushi with out worrying about Gluten!! He checked on a few items and advised they were not safe, he asked what I liked and most importantly what I didn't and proceeded to order for us. The result was a beautiful assortment of fresh yummy and SAFE items for me to devour, thanks again Maiko Sushi for a great evening with my husband for our Anniversary.
It's a fairly large, bright place. When I went it was for a business lunch and was approximately 50% full. I had an assorted sushi plate. My colleague had shrimp tempura. Both were accompanied bu a miso soup and a salad.Everything was below average with the exception of the service, which was prompt and courteous. I won't waste time on the details. The only really excellent thing that I can think of to mention is that the parking is free.
Something for everyone including beef and chicken teriyaki ( for non sushi lovers ). The sushi itself was excellent and rolls are made with a fusion of ingredients like fried seafood wrapped in rice garnished with flowers and deep fried sweet potatoes. Definitely recommend for a sophisticated restaurant atmosphere, helpful staff and great food.
They have a very good 4 service lunch special reasonably priced. From sushi to fish to meats. Something for all tastes. Also very good FULL menu for dinner. Very nice decor and friendly staff.

Everything we tried was absolutely amazing!! From the salads, through the brilliant sushi and at the end the fabulous tempura ice cream.. one of the best sushi I've ever eat
Loved the sushi here, service was great too. Was a little pricey for sure and I would definitely go back but not on a regular basis. Definitely liked my experience though!
