three friends and I visited this restaurant around 19:15 a.m. on a Wednesday night after the geese and gridiron pub refused to take someone to dinner on that night because they could no longer manage the patrons. where are you going to merrickville for dinner around 19 hours when the other two restaurants are close by 18 hours? we ate in the mainstreet restaurant and eating was edible. the best part of this facility was the personal that was most accommodating and very pleasant. the decoration is outdated and would benefit from a facelift. they have a beautiful terrace that would be pleasant for lunch. her menu is extensive and my man ordered a pulled pork sandwich on an imperial roll accord...
My wife and I have been frequenting this quaint diner on Main Street in Merrickville for years. During the coronavirus pandemic, we decided to try their takeout service. We called ahead and ordered a club sandwich with fries, and were pleased when an employee brought out our order to our car within 10 minutes. We observed that the restaurant was taking necessary precautions, such as employees wearing gloves and cleaning the door handles. The food was delicious as always, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Melinda was an excellent server, prompt and attentive. Wings were perfect- crispy and not too much sauce. The nachos- best loaded nachos ever. Double layers of cheese, fully loaded, and I mean fully LOADED. Dad had the liver and onions, veg was unimpressive but he...was very happy with the liver and mashed potatoes. Surpassed our expectations, we would recommend it to people. Nice patio.
my wife and I strolled around merrickville today and were looking for the best price for our lunchtime and finally decided in the restaurant the mainstreet patio in the main street west. good portions, great burger, great service and what we felt was a great experience in this...loved because of all the dinge in oberkanada.
I recently went to this restaurant for brunch with some friends who were tired of their usual greasy spoon, American breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious (classic bacon/sausage, eggs, etc.), hot and served quickly. There were many options for toast. The service (Amy) was fast and friendly.
Would recommend Mainstreet for every meal! Tried them for brunch on a Sunday. Delicious, reasonably priced and good portion sizes. Great service! Was so good, we went back for dinner that night. Service was awful! But food was still great! Cute little patio with string...light for evening. Very relaxed vibe.
Our server and her coworker did a great job. Very friendly and efficient. Fish tacos had great perch but remainder of ingredients where nothing special. Some fresh pico would have made a huge difference. Caesar salad and fries were okay but again nothing special. Hubby...liked his burger.
