I came to sushi express for the $20 (can't remember exact price) 3 roll sushi combo that comes with a side salad, miso soup, three 6 piece rolls, and soda. The sushi is very average for the three roll combo where I got the spicy crab, spicy tiny and spicy salmon. All the sushi had a similar orange inside with a deep fried part. I could not necessarily taste the fish quality as there was the crispy/fried taste. The miso soup, salad, and soda was decent. This place when I went was quite empty but great for a quick in and out meal for a good price
The Maki rolls were fine. It seemed very hastily rolled and the look of it wasn’t quite very nice but it tasted OK. I liked the California roll and the Eel and eggroll. I also got the eel roll on its own and it was very small compared to the other ones. Overall it was an OK dinner. I’m not sure if I would be ordering here again but what be interested to see what it’s like in person.
If you're in search of a cozy, no-frills sushi spot, look no further than Sushi Express. It's a beloved establishment in Brookline, and I absolutely enjoy their chef's specials. They've managed to operate efficiently during COVID, and overall, the prices are quite reasonable.
As far as affordable sushi goes, this deal is pretty great. The .miso soup was weirdly smoky? But I still enjoyed it. Over all a great deal, especially for the location and I left with my cheap sushi craving satisfied.

The food did not taste fresh at all. It was so unappetizing that we couldn't finish it. The Crab Rangoon was also disappointing. Overall, it wasn't worth the convenience.
It was really good. Food was inexpensive and good. Service was amazing. People were so nice! Definitely would come again.
This is my go-to sushi place in Boston. It's a cozy spot, but the food is outstanding and the staff is really friendly.
